What causes the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus speaker fault?
Normally this fault is purely down to wear and tear. The diaphragm of the loudspeakers can become worn over time and stop producing an accurate sound.
Dirt and dust can get inside and cause speaker problems.
We have had a few iPhone 7 or 7 Plus in where a touch of liquid has got inside the speaker through the vents and damaged it. As long as too much water hasn't got in and damaged other areas, the speaker can be replaced and should work again.
